Plenty of Reading signage is simply bigger than the average job. Office buildings at Green Park and Thames Valley Park have long elevations and long sight lines, and a name that works at 150mm on a shopfront disappears on them. We size letters to the viewing distance, then build them with internal stiffening so a 600mm high letter stays flat and square in the wind.

What we make
The build changes with the size. Small letters are routed from solid or fabricated from thin gauge. Large letters are welded aluminium boxes with hidden bracing and, where lit, a full LED and driver layout inside. Both get the same finishing, sprayed or powder coated to the colour you specify.

How we work in Reading
Access equipment usually decides the programme. For anything above ground floor we price a tower, a cherry picker or a scissor lift into the quote, along with any permit or traffic management the position needs. That way the cost is known before the date is booked, not after the sign is up.
We fit Monday to Friday in working hours as standard. If an occupied office or a town centre shop needs us early, late or at a weekend, that can be agreed with the building manager on request, at extra cost. We keep artwork and manufacturing records on file, so a later addition or a replacement letter matches the first set exactly.

Large. We regularly build letters over a metre high as welded aluminium fabrications with internal frames. Beyond that the limits are usually transport and access rather than manufacture, and we will split a big logo into sections if it makes the install safer.
Halo-lit tends to look better on a modern building. The letter face stays solid in daylight and the glow behind it reads clearly at night without being harsh. Face-lit is brighter, and better where the sign has to compete with other lighting nearby.
We handle the low voltage side and the driver installation. For the final mains connection we either work alongside your electrician or bring a qualified one in. Either way the connection point is agreed at survey rather than discovered on install day.
Yes. We take on installs of signage manufactured elsewhere, though we inspect it first and will tell you if the fixing detail supplied is not right for the wall it is going on.
Yes. Multi site rollouts are scheduled as one programme with one set of drawings, one specification and consistent finishes throughout. It usually works out cheaper than treating each site as a separate order.
