Our workshop sits on Rose Business Estate at Marlow Bottom, a few minutes from most of the schools we work for. That closeness helps. A business manager can send photos and rough measurements for a quote, and once the price is agreed it is a short trip for us to come and measure with a colour sample in hand.
School signage does two jobs at once. It has to look like the school, following whatever brand guidelines the trust has spent money developing, and it has to survive several hundred pairs of hands a day. We make entrance signs, gate signage, house boards and corridor graphics for primaries, secondaries and academies, and we fit them when the buildings are empty.
What we make for schools
Everything is manufactured in house. Powder coated aluminium tray signs and post mounted boards for outside, acrylic and aluminium composite panels for reception, printed and cut vinyl for corridors and halls. We powder coat to the trust colour rather than the nearest standard shade, and anything within reach of pupils gets an anti graffiti laminate.

How we work in Marlow
We quote from photos, measurements or a site plan, then visit to measure once the price is agreed, usually during a lesson or after the last bell. That gives us fixing types, wall build ups and any cable runs to work around, so the fitting day holds no surprises.
Installation goes into half term, the summer break or an INSET day. Our fitters are DBS checked and sign in and out like any other visitor. We carry public liability insurance, and work at height is carried out by IPAF-certified installers. If a job has to run in term time we work behind barriers, keep tools with us at all times, and clear the area properly before pupils come back through.
Coverage
Marlow is our home patch, so most of this work is a short run over the bridge or down the A404. We cover schools across south Buckinghamshire and into Berkshire, and we will travel further for a trust that wants one supplier across every site.

That is when most of our school work happens. Summer is booked earliest, so a full wayfinding scheme is best confirmed by around Easter. Half terms suit smaller jobs such as a set of house boards, a new entrance sign or a hall mural.
Yes. Everyone who goes onto a school site holds a current DBS certificate and carries photo ID. They sign in at reception, wear a visitor badge, and stay in the area agreed at survey. We can send certificates and insurance details before the visit if your office needs them on file.
Yes. We work to your brand guidelines and keep the artwork, colour references and material specification on file. A site in Maidenhead fitted next year will match the one done in Marlow this year, same finish, same font, same colour.
Around three to four weeks from artwork sign off for a painted or acrylic set. We can also build boards with changeable name plates so the office can add leavers each year without ordering a whole new panel.
Corridor graphics get a heavy laminate, low level panels get an anti graffiti finish, and outdoor signage is powder coated aluminium rather than printed board. We choose materials by where they sit, so a sign at pupil height is specified differently from one above a door.
