New names, new blocks, new signs
When a school joins a trust the name changes, the logo changes, and suddenly every sign on the site is out of date. That is a good part of our work in Wokingham. New entrance signage, a fresh set of house and values boards, and the old ones taken down and taken away.
The other half is growth. Wokingham has added a lot of housing and the schools have added classrooms to match. A new block needs numbering, a new car park needs directing, and the existing directory needs redoing so it still makes sense.
Signage we make for schools
We manufacture everything at Marlow Bottom, so a rebrand comes out as one batch in one colour rather than as odds and ends from three suppliers. Outdoor signs are folded aluminium, powder coated and post or wall mounted. Internal work runs from acrylic reception logos through to printed corridor murals.

How we work in Wokingham
Once the price is agreed, our site visit covers more than sizes. We check what the wall is actually built from, whether there is anything behind it, how the sign will be reached for cleaning, and where the old fixings sit so the new panel covers them.
Fitting is scheduled into holidays and INSET days as standard. Our team is DBS checked, work at height is carried out by IPAF certified installers, and we carry public liability insurance. On a rebrand we usually change the outward facing signs first, so the school looks right to parents from day one, then work through the internal signage across the rest of the break.

With a list. Photograph every sign on the site, note what changes and what stays, and send it over. We price it as one schedule, then visit to measure and check the fixings once the price is agreed. Most schools then split it into an urgent outward facing phase and a longer internal phase.
Yes. Send the guidelines and the vector logo and we will work to the specified typeface, colours and clear space rules. Where a guideline colour does not exist as a standard powder coat we get the nearest match confirmed on a sprayed sample before anything is manufactured.
Aim to confirm by half term in May. Manufacture takes two to four weeks depending on the mix, and summer install slots fill quickly because every school wants the same six weeks. Earlier confirmation means you get the week you want.
Yes. Printed hoarding graphics, temporary direction boards and clear routes to the visitor entrance while a new block goes up. They come down when the permanent signage goes in, and we can reuse the artwork so the two look related.
We do, on suitable surfaces. Tarmac markings and MUGA line work are laid separately from our sign work, but printed floor graphics for indoor halls and corridors are made here and fitted by our own team, using a slip rated laminate for anywhere pupils walk.
