How we work in Oxford
We survey the whole route a visitor takes, not just the building front. That means walking from the site entrance to the door, noting sight lines, existing signs and where people currently take a wrong turn. The drawings that come back show every position on a site plan with sizes for each piece.
Installation is phased so the site keeps working. Foundations for freestanding signs go in first, then the fabricated units follow once the concrete has cured. Building mounted work is booked around lab and office access. A full campus scheme normally runs four to six weeks from approval.

Oxford is around an hour from the workshop on the M40 and A40, so surveys and installs are planned as full days rather than short visits. That keeps costs sensible and means most schemes are fitted in one or two trips.

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do on campuses. We survey the routes, produce a sign schedule with a numbered position for each piece, then manufacture the family to one specification. It means a sign added in two years time still matches.
It depends on the height and the ground, but a typical two metre monolith sits on a concreted base around 600mm deep with a steel post frame set into it. We check for services before digging and dispose of the spoil. The base is hidden by the cladding once fitted.
For the exterior, yes. Door plates, hazard and access panels, delivery entrance signage and building identification in stainless or powder coated aluminium, all wipe clean and fixed with sealed fixings. Anything specific to your internal protocols is worked from your own artwork.
Usually. We measure and photograph the existing signs, match the panel profile, colour and typeface, and produce a sample or a drawing for approval. Where the original profile is discontinued we find the closest current match and make the whole run consistent.
Four to six weeks from approved artwork for a full campus set, less for individual pieces. Fabrication, powder coating and printing run in parallel at the workshop, and installation is booked as a block once everything has been made and checked.
