We make it all ourselves at Marlow Bottom, which means we control the finish rather than accepting whatever a trade supplier sends back. Samples come to you before the full set is made.

How we work in Chelsea
Loading is the practical constraint. We fit Monday to Friday as standard, and an early morning start, before the street fills and while a van can still get near the kerb, can be arranged on request, at extra cost. Once the price is agreed, we visit to check what the fascia is built from and whether there is timber, render or a lintel behind it, then set the fixings to suit what is actually there.
Occupied shops and showrooms stay open where we can manage it. Drilling is kept to a short window, dust is contained and the pavement is left clean. For lit letters we run cable behind the fascia rather than surface mounting it, and we can arrange the electrical connection.
Where we cover from here
Our installers come out from the City Road office for most central London work, with the letters delivered from the Marlow workshop. Chelsea is an easy run across the river and along the Fulham Road, so return visits and snagging are not a problem to arrange.

Untreated brass darkens over time and plenty of clients want exactly that. If you would rather it stayed bright we can lacquer the faces, which slows the change considerably. Tell us which look you are after at the sample stage and we will finish the set accordingly.
Yes, and timber is one of the easier substrates to work with. We fix with concealed studs, seal every hole and touch in the paint afterwards. If the timber is soft or rotten in places we will flag it at survey, before anything is fixed to it.
Usually. Send a photo with a tape measure in shot, or let us take a template on site. We can redraw the letterforms and match the depth, finish and spacing, so an addition does not look like an afterthought bolted on later.
Yes. We take a profile at survey and build the letters, and any backing tray, to that curve rather than forcing a flat set onto it. On a bow front the fixings are set individually so each letter sits flush and the shadow line stays even across the word.
Very. Halo lighting behind a slim letter gives a soft outline rather than a glare, and it can be dimmed or put on a timer. Where light would be unwelcome, we can leave the letters plain and light the fascia with a small trough light instead.
