How we work in Chelsea
Space to work is the first thing we check. Narrow pavements, resident parking and delivery restrictions all shape how a fit runs, so we plan the access properly and measure on site before anything is made. Small jobs go up off steps or a low tower. Anything above first floor gets a proper access booking.
We keep installs short and tidy. Most plaque and lettering jobs are done inside a morning, with dust sheets down and the frontage cleaned before we leave. Lead times run two to three weeks, longer for cast metal work where the casting and finishing take time.

Brass has warmth and patinas over time unless it is lacquered, which suits older painted frontages. Stainless stays consistent and needs almost no upkeep, which suits a cleaner modern entrance. Both are engraved or etched and infilled with paint so the text stays crisp.
Yes. On stucco and render we fix through into the substrate behind and seal each penetration, keeping the number of fixings to a minimum. Small plaques can often go on standoffs or a concealed backplate. We make good and touch in around every fixing.
We produce traditional looking window lettering using metallic and gold effect vinyl films, cut to shape and applied to the inside face of the glass. It gives the look of signwritten gold with better durability and it can be removed cleanly at the end of a lease.
A single door plaque is a perfectly normal order for us. Plenty of Chelsea work is exactly that, sometimes with a piece of window lettering alongside. Smaller jobs still get the same survey, drawing and installation by our own fitters.
Yes. We take down redundant letters, brackets and boxes, fill and make good the fixing holes, and touch in the paintwork. On a lease exit we photograph the frontage before and after so there is a record of the condition we left it in.
