A lot of Slough signage lives on working buildings. Distribution units, trade counters, manufacturing sheds, offices sitting alongside them. Those elevations get weather, dirt, delivery traffic and the occasional clip from a lorry mirror, so the specification has to be practical. How we work in Slough
On the trading estate, site rules come first. Inductions, permits, banksman requirements, restricted vehicle movements. We supply method statements and risk assessments on request and plan the install around yard traffic rather than through it.
Surveys check the elevation build up, because cladding, brick and composite panel each need different fixings and different sealing. Where a sign sits above a loading area we usually recommend a rail system, so the letters can be lifted off in one piece if the elevation ever needs repair.

Powder coated aluminium. It resists knocks and weather better than paint on acrylic and holds its colour well. On exposed sites we specify a heavier gauge on large letters and marine grade fixings where the sign is fully exposed.
Yes. Most yard and elevation work is done with the unit open, using an exclusion zone and a banksman where vehicles are moving. If the sign position sits over an active loading door, fitting outside operating hours can be arranged on request, at extra cost.
Every fixing is sealed, and letters are set off the face on locators so water runs down the panel and away rather than sitting behind the letter. Where a panel is not suitable for direct fixing we use a backing tray and fix that instead.
Very little. An occasional wipe down keeps the faces clean. We do not offer maintenance or inspection contracts, and while there is no formal warranty, if there is a problem with our work in the first 12 months, we come back and sort it.
Yes. Send us photos and measurements of each sign and we quote it as one package. Once the price is agreed, we measure on site and replace in a planned sequence, so the site is never without its main identification. Old signage is removed and taken away.
