How we work in Kensington
Once the price is agreed, every job gets a site visit before anything is made. We check the substrate, the lighting, the sightlines from the entrance and whether there is power available for anything illuminated. Where a wall will not take a fixing, we design around it rather than forcing it and dealing with cracked plaster later.
Buildings around Kensington High Street and Earl's Court often have shared entrances and controlled loading, so we book access with the managing agent and keep unloading brief. Occupied offices can be fitted in the evening or at weekends on request, at extra cost. Floors are sheeted, dust is controlled at source, and we clear everything before we leave. Frequently asked questions
Flat cut letters are machined from a single sheet, usually acrylic or metal, and sit close to the wall. Built-up letters are fabricated with a face and returns, giving real depth and the option to light them. Built-up costs more and looks considerably better on a reception wall.
They need a fused spur behind or near the sign, and it is far easier to arrange during a fit out than afterwards. We tell you at survey exactly where the supply is required and what the load is, so your electrician can position it before the wall is decorated.
Yes. Manifestation can carry your logo, a pattern taken from your brand assets, or printed colour, as long as it still gives the visibility that Building Regulations Part K requires on critical glazing. We set the height and coverage to satisfy that and design within it.
Very little. We fit Monday to Friday as standard, with work outside core hours available on request at extra cost. Cutting and drilling is done with dust extraction, and we protect lift lobbies and floors on the route in.
We hold your artwork and specifications, so damaged or dated panels can be remade to match. Cleaning guidance is supplied on handover. Room name inserts and directory strips can be reprinted and sent out if you would rather change them yourselves.
