How we work in Mayfair
Approval usually comes first. Most buildings here are held on long leases with an estate or managing agent involved, so we prepare a drawing and a material specification for them to sign off before manufacturing. It is a normal step and we allow for it in the programme.
The install itself is short and careful. Loading and parking are arranged in advance, we protect the step and the paintwork, and we drill with extraction to keep dust off the frontage. We fit Monday to Friday as standard. Where a building prefers no work during office hours, early morning or weekend fitting can be arranged on request, at extra cost.

A cast plaque is poured in a mould, so the letters stand proud of the face and the edges are slightly soft. It has real weight and depth. An engraved or etched plaque is cut into a flat sheet and paint filled, which gives sharper text at a lower cost. Both suit a Mayfair door.
Usually. We produce a dimensioned drawing showing the plate size, material, finish and fixing positions, and send it in for approval before anything is made. Most agents come back within a week or two, and we work with them on any queries.

Unlacquered brass needs polishing to stay bright and will otherwise darken, which some clients want. We do not offer cleaning or polishing visits, so if you want it bright, a regular polish by your own team does the job.
