Mayfair rarely calls for a big sign. It calls for a small one made extremely well. A satin brass plate with crisp engraved lettering. Individual bronze letters set out by hand on a painted frontage. A reception logo where the return on every letter is welded, filled and finished so the edges are dead sharp under the downlights.
That kind of work is why we keep manufacturing in house. Our workshop at Marlow Bottom handles the metal, the paint, the acrylic and the illumination, and our own team installs it. If the finish is not right it goes back on the bench rather than onto the building.
What we make
Materials do most of the talking here. Solid brass and bronze, polished or brushed stainless, hand painted timber, and deep returned letters in painted aluminium. Illumination, where it is used at all, tends to be halo lighting or a concealed trough rather than anything bright.

How we work in Mayfair
Loading and access shape every job. Most of these streets have short loading windows and no room for a large vehicle, so we survey with that in the notes, keep the on site time tight, and book towers or platforms properly rather than working off a ladder. Early morning starts can be arranged on request, at extra cost.
Offices, galleries and private members' venues can book evening fitting on request, at extra cost. Either way we protect the floors and joinery and clear up before we leave. We take templates from the actual building because frontages here are seldom true, and setting out from a drawing will show. Once a job is done we keep the paint references, metal finishes and letter specifications on file, so anything added later matches exactly.
Coverage
Mayfair sits at the centre of our London work, and our City Road office is a short trip away for meetings by appointment. Everything is manufactured at Marlow Bottom and installed by our own team, in Mayfair and across the West End.

Yes. We take the dimensions, the finish and the engraving style from the original, then make the new one to sit beside it. If the existing plates have aged we can pre patinate the new one so it does not stand out against them.
Smaller than most people expect, provided it is cut rather than routed and the fixing centres are accurate. We will tell you honestly if a size will lose the detail of your logo, and we can supply a sample letter before committing to the full set.
We can supply the drawings and elevations an application needs and work with your landlord or agent, and we manufacture once approval is through. It lengthens the programme, so we flag it at quote stage.
Yes. We install Monday to Friday as standard, and evening or early morning fitting can be arranged on request, at extra cost. We sheet everything, use extraction when drilling, agree fixing positions in advance and take all the packaging away with us. Most reception logos go in within a single visit.
Regularly. Restaurant and bar work covers frontage lettering, projecting signs, menu cases, interior lettering, mirror graphics and washroom signage. We can do the exterior and the interior on one order so the finishes carry through the venue.
