Uxbridge covers two quite different kinds of workplace. There are the modern office buildings clustered around the town centre and the A40, glass fronted and multi let, and there are the older units and yards out towards Cowley and West Drayton. One wants clean lettering and a tidy directory board. The other wants a big name on a cladded elevation and a clear unit number at the gate.
We make both at our Marlow Bottom workshop, half an hour up the A40, and fit them with our own installation teams.
What we make
Glass fronted buildings need a different approach to brick or cladding. Toughened glazing cannot be drilled, so lettering is either bonded to standoffs, hung from a clamped rail, or applied as film to the inside face. We survey the glazing before deciding, because getting that wrong is expensive.

How we work in Uxbridge
Site surveys settle the details that cause problems later. What the elevation is made from, how high the sign needs to sit to clear the canopy, where the nearest power supply is, and whether a lift can get close enough. We take photographs and produce a visual so you can see the proposal on your own building.
Fitting in a busy town centre location means planning the loading. We arrange parking or a bay suspension where it is needed, keep the working area small and fenced, and get the equipment off site the same day. Most jobs run two to three weeks from approval.

Yes, but not by drilling. Toughened glass cannot be drilled once made, so we bond standoffs to the glass, use a clamped rail at the head, or build the logo up in film on the inside face. We check the glazing type on survey before recommending a method.
By viewing distance. We stand where a visitor will first look for the sign, measure back to the building and size the letters so they read comfortably from there. Bigger is not always better, because oversized letters on a small elevation look wrong.
Regularly. On multi let buildings and estates we make the whole family together, so the tenant panels, unit numbers and directional signs share one specification. It costs less than doing them piecemeal and the site looks consistent.
We do not offer a formal warranty, but if there is a problem with our work in the first 12 months, we come back and sort it. Because we make everything in house at Marlow Bottom we hold the drawings and specifications, so it is dealt with by the same people who built it.
Yes. Most of our office work happens in occupied buildings. We keep the working area contained, use extraction when drilling, protect floors and glass, and we fit Monday to Friday as standard. Where the work is noisy or blocks an entrance, fitting before hours or at a weekend can be arranged on request, at extra cost.
