How we work in Westminster
Approval and access come before anything else. Most buildings here are managed, so we work with the agent, prepare a drawing and material specification, and supply insurance details, risk assessments and method statements on request.
Installation is scheduled around the building, not around us. We fit Monday to Friday as standard, and early morning, evening or weekend work can be arranged on request, at extra cost. Carefully, and usually into the joints rather than the face of the stone where that is possible. We use resin anchors and standoffs, keep the fixing count low and seal each hole. On sensitive stonework a concealed backplate reduces the number of penetrations to two or three.
Yes, on request. Risk assessments, method statements and our public liability insurance details can go to the building manager before the install date. Most managed buildings in Westminster ask for them, so just tell us who needs them.
On request, yes. Our standard installs run Monday to Friday in working hours, and evening or weekend fitting is available at extra cost. We agree the window with the building manager, work to any noise curfew, and leave the entrance clean and fully usable for the following morning.
